In honor of Earth Day, we’ll look at ways you can exhibit more sustainably with custom modular displays and environmentally friendly graphics.
If you’ve been on the trade show floor during installation or dismantle hours, you’ve likely seen the mountains of trash that an event leaves behind. Trade shows are notorious for their wasteful nature and lack of environmental friendliness. But, it doesn’t have to be that way!
Custom modular hardware
By using custom modular hardware, you can reduce waste, energy, and cost, reuse materials many times, and recycle your exhibit at the end of its life. Here’s how!
Reduce waste, energy, and cost
A huge benefit of custom modular displays comes into play when considering transportation and serviceability. Fully custom exhibits are often built with heavy materials (think wood, laminate, etc.) and are often designed to be installed in one set configuration. They’re typically difficult (if not impossible) to service when damage inevitably occurs, often resulting in a trip to the landfill. With large custom booths comes large custom crates, massive shipping bills, and a negative impact on the environment.
Custom modular exhibits are designed intentionally to avoid these negatives. If a booth component goes missing or is broken with a custom modular display, it can easily be repaired or replaced, extending your exhibit longevity. This is a critical factor in reducing the number of exhibit assets that are thrown out each year.
And, relatively lightweight and compact, custom modular exhibits pack “tight and light” to reduce shipping and material handling costs. Not only does it help your trade show budget, but it helps environmentally as well. Win-win!
Reuse materials
Whether your trade show schedule is packed with back-to-back events or just a few shows each year, inevitably you’ll run into a situation where you have different sizes and types of spaces or desires to change your layout. Is your current exhibit able to accommodate your changing needs? Custom modular booths can!
Custom modular exhibits can be configured in an infinite number of ways (think Lego style!), and they’re designed to be durable for numerous event installations and dismantles.
And, they can also be rented. This allows many clients to use the same hardware components while maintaining a completely unique look tailored to their business. Rental displays provide a great sustainable option for companies that do not have the ability or desire to purchase a full display.
Recycle your exhibit
Custom modular hardware is made from metal (mostly aluminum and steel) that can be recycled at the end of its life cycle. When clients engage in our asset management program, we always scrap the metal components of their old exhibits when they request to dispose of their assets. Let us do the heavy lifting for you!
